For this project, I conducted a comprehensive analysis of the modern urban bag and accessories market, combining consumer insights, survey data, and trend research. I identified key user pain points such as lack of storage, weather resistance, and comfort during commuting, while also noting shifting consumer values toward sustainability and versatility. Using market sizing comparisons, competitive analysis, and cultural signals, I mapped out three key design directions—Climate Conscious, Minimalist Future, and the Kid-ult concept. These insights were translated into design concepts that balanced functionality, durability, and emotional storytelling. In addition to applying innovative materials such as recycled textiles, biodegradable filaments, and modular features, I also responded to the company’s request by leveraging AI generators to produce ideal product images, which provided a more intuitive visualization of the design vision and strengthened the storytelling element.
